The Mad River Valley Libraries announce a day of free, celebratory Juneteenth events for all ages. Each library will host a different event that day.
Inspired by the book “Freedom Dreams, The Black Radical Imagination” by Robin D.G. Kelley, the Freedom Dreaming Creation workshop provides space to explore our relationships to the idea of freedom. Through conversation, activity, and artistic creation, we imagine environments that can exist beyond our current realities. For freedom dreaming, all you need is love and your imagination. The workshop is led by Interdisciplinary Artivist, Educator, and Warren resident janet e. dandridge.
The workshop is best suited for ages 14-adult; however, families with children as young as 8 may participate together. Pre- registration is required as spaces may be limited. Weather permitting, the workshop will be held outdoors.
