Phoebe Potts wants a tiny little baby, & she’s stopping at nothing to get one. Her hilarious, award-winning solo takes a comic look on the agony of adoption. The journey starts where she grew up in Brooklyn. Not the lavendar-kale Brooklyn of present day – but old-school Brooklyn, where everyone was Jewish.
Phoebe’s hilarious, heartfelt performance (complete with her own hand-cranked cartoon illustrations) chronicles her quest – and takes us on a journey that encompasses race, religion, interconnectedness and love. Deeply heartfelt, wholly uproarious and very entertaining.
The coziness of Lost Nation Theater’s stage, with the audience surrounding the performer on three sides like a hug, is the perfect way to experience this marvelous production.
Covid Safety Protocols: Masks are encouraged. (LNT’s State of the Art Bio-Defense Air-Purification “Synexis” System is also in service 24/7 keeping everyone as safe as possible.)
*The Flood made LNT/City Hall’s elevator inoperable, requiring climbing stairs to attend in person. The play will be available digitally to make the show accessible to those unable to physically join us. We appreciate your understanding during this emergency situation. Since we cannot provide wheelchair/walker access, please call us (802-229-0492) or email info@lostnationtheater.org to discuss options for seeing the show.
