Climb It For Climate – Fall Rally
Event Details: The Activist Athlete with Carolina Rubio MacWright
Sunday, October 12th @ Lincoln Peak during Sugarbush Community Days
Join Friends of the Mad River, the Mad River Valley Backcountry Coalition, and Sugarbush for a beautiful fall foliage hike followed by an inspiring conversation about collective climate action. Carolina Rubio Macwright- a POW ambassador, ultrarunner, lawyer, mother, and non-profit founder will give a keynote address to prime us all for a wonderful conversation about how we, as outdoor athletes, can take action on issues related to the climate crisis.
Logistics:
3 pm – Hike starts
5 pm – Back to base area
5-5:30 pm – Dinner! Pizza, salad, and beverages.
5:30-7 pm – The Activist Athlete Keynote and activities with Carolina Rubio MacWright
