Making Home Ownership Work for Folks with Modest Incomes with Sandra Vitzhum, Plainfield Village Expansion Project (Yestermorrow Fall Speaker Series)

November 12 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Vermont and other states have established robust rental housing and shared equity programs, yet seniors, starters, and many lower-income families want to own their own home. Home ownership can be stable and a great way to build equity. We will discuss the small lot-small home movement, which fits in well with pre-fabricated homes and also do-it-yourself construction.

This talk is presented as part of our Fall 2025 Speaker Series. All talks are free and open to the public, and take place Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 pm. No registration required, just drop by.

Twice a year, we curate a series of lectures on a design/build theme. This Fall we are tackling part two of our “Innovative Homes” series, this time focusing in on multi-family homes. We’ll discuss different ways cities and towns are approaching sustainable housing development and affordability through case studies of unique living spaces.
