Banned Book Discussion

The second discussion in the Warren Public Library’s summer “banned book” series features Ashley Hope Perez’s book “Out of Darkness.” The third-most frequently challenged book of the 2021-22 school year, “Out of Darkness” portrays a forbidden romance between two teens: a Mexican-American girl and an African-American boy in 1930s Texas. Read the book in advance and come for snacks and discussion, ages teen-adult. Books are available to check out at the library.
