Clowning Around – Structured Silliness for 3.5-4 Year olds
June 19, 2023 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Structured silliness! Led by Kolleen & Bobby Kintz, this class for kids ages 3.5-4 years old will explore creative movement, comedic expression and ensemble creation. Campers will play games, move their bodies, make music and find their funny. Students will share some of what they’ve learned at a showing for parents during the final class. This class will be a drop-off class; however, there is a shared room in our space where parents can be close by and in sight, if that is more comfortable for your child.

Kolleen Kintz attended Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in 2010. Starting in 2011, she and Bobby began training with Dody Disanto at The Center for Movement Theatre in Washington DC. They have performed with the DC Fringe Festival, Zip Zap Circus and regularly at Clown Cabaret. In 2014, the duo traveled to Haiti to volunteer with Clowns Without Borders and performed for over 5000 children. Kolleen later became a hospital clown for Healthy Humor and made rounds as Dr. Pickle at Johns Hopkins for 6 years.
Kolleen & Bobby Kintz have been teaching artists since 2013. Beginning their journey with the instruction of 3 & 4 year olds, in Del Ray, VA. Later developing their own circus camp for ages 5-13, which ran in Baltimore at Morgan State University for 5 years. More recently, the journey has been parenthood! It is very exciting to be offering this class to the community, in our new hometown of Waitsfield.
