Counting the Votes: The Process, the People, and the Electoral College

May 7, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

Gather with civically minded knitters and crafters to deepen your understanding of the electoral system. Artist and former election lawyer Eve Jacobs-Carnahan will talk about how activist knitters have been raising awareness of issues in society for decades. She’ll share her knowledge of the electoral system and engage you in discussion about ways to strengthen democracy. While you gain new insights, you’ll stitch pieces of a community banner stating democratic principles for the Warren Fourth of July Parade. Third of three-part Knit Democracy Together sponsored by Mad River Valley Libraries. Free online registration recommended.
