The Mad River Barn, in collaboration with Ploughgate, is proud to host Fracas on the Farm; an annual celebration of the exquisite beauty of the Mad River Valley. Rooted in our commitment to supporting Vermont’s Farm and Agriculture organizations, Fracas on the Farm brings together our community to experience the magic of local music, culinary delights, and artistic expressions. Through purposeful partnerships with regional arts and culinary businesses, we offer families a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of our vibrant local culture.

Central to our mission is giving back to the Vermont Farm & Agriculture community that sustains us. Every year, a significant portion of all proceeds is thoughtfully donated to essential Farm & Agriculture organizations, vital pillars of the Vermont economy. In 2023, We proudly direct a portion of the proceeds to support the Vermont Farm Fund and the Northeast Organic Farming Association [NOFA], supporting their tireless efforts to provost sustainable farming practices and fostering a resilient agriculture community.

Through Fracas on the Farm, we endeavor to foster a sense of gratitude and stewardship for the Mad River Valley while nurturing connections that strengthen our community. Guided by our shared values of sustainability, collaboration, and appreciation for local traditions, we are dedicated to creating an enduring legacy that enriches the lives of everyone who has the privledge of experiencing Vermont.
