This play tells the story of MRV Union soldiers, through their correspondence with loved ones , of what happened during their nine month stay in Virginia from 1862-63. As they were looking forward to returning home in June, they were instead ordered to march North and found themselves engaged in an extraordinary battle. This story is a testament to the13th regiment who helped turn the tide of the war. The Songbird Project will provide musical accompaniment, with original and favorite Civil War era tunes.
