The one-act musical comedy is appropriate for all ages. It tells the story made popular by the 2004 “Mean Girls” film, in which the lead character Cady Heron is the new girl at North Shore High School in Chicago. It follows her as she makes her way toward fitting in and finding friends and navigating the popular and controlling Regina George “Queen Bee.”
The production will be presented at Harwood Union Middle/High School with performances on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. (No show on Dec. 6 given the River of Light parade in Waterbury).
Admission will be by donation at the door. A bake sale will follow the shows with proceeds supporting the middle school theater program.
