MRV Women in Business Meeting

October 10 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Building a Culture of Equity and Growth for Yourself as Business Leaders

This interactive engagement will present HR strategies to support and advance women business leaders – as their own most valuable employee

Our conversation will focus on serving yourself as employee: creating a business approach that incorporates HR best practices, recognizing the unique challenges women may face, and how to foster that “workplace culture” where you as leader can thrive. Cultivating those best practices include:

  • Career Expansion: Creating a job description for your most valuable asset, yourself as leader, and thinking forward for career pathways and business expansion which may include recruiting and retaining other employees.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Utilizing resources in our community and in Vermont to ensure that how you are compensated through competitive pay and health/wellbeing programs.
  • Workplace Flexibility: Designing sustainable work arrangements, absence and leave practices, and other “fringe” benefits that support your own work-life balance and meet your actual needs as both business owner and employee – and for your employees, if relevant.
  • Career Development and Training: Tapping into opportunities for women’s leadership training, mentorship, and continuous professional development to help you and your employees advance in their careers.

Presenter:
