Julia Cavicchi, Education Director of the Rich Earth Institute in Vermont, will present a program about the paradigm-shifting practice of peecycling: reclaiming a “waste” as a resource to complete the food nutrient cycle. Human urine contains vital nutrients for growing crops. By reclaiming urine as an agricultural resource, communities can prevent downstream pollution, access an abundance of local fertilizer, and conserve clean water. Peecycling kits will be available for interested participants to take home after the workshop.
