Yestermorrow Spring 2026 Speaker Series
Historic Preservation: Meaning, Memory, and Stewardship
Preservation Policy and Tools for Improved Resiliency & Performance of Historic Buildings with Jamie Duggan
This presentation will discuss emerging policies and tools that are being developed at national, state and local levels to support and improve the resiliency and performance of historic buildings. Featuring case studies that explore flood-proofing and armouring historic buildings for climate change, increasing energy efficiency and performance of conditioned spaces, as well as other topics that help overcome misperceptions about how to treat a historic building and the give-and-take of making improvements without diminishing historic character. Information and materials will be shared on new survey and mapping projects, education and advocacy efforts at the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation and works in progress at State-owned Historic Sites.
This talk is presented as part of our Spring 2026 Speaker Series. All talks are free and open to the public, and take place Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 pm. No registration required, just drop by. Join us in person or online via livestream on our YouTube channel.
