Representing All Voices: Gerrymandering and Ranked Choice Voting

April 30, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

Gather with civically minded knitters and crafters to deepen your understanding of the electoral system. Artist and former election lawyer Eve Jacobs-Carnahan will talk about how activist knitters have been raising awareness of issues in society for decades. She’ll share her knowledge of the electoral system and engage you in discussion about ways to strengthen democracy. While you gain new insights, you’ll stitch pieces of a community banner stating democratic principles for the Warren Fourth of July Parade. Second of three-part Knit Democracy Together series at Valley libraries. Free online registration recommended.
