The Great Duck Race with Kid Activities
August 31 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
2025 is bringing DOUBLE the ducky fun with two races this year. Not required, but for both races, you have the option to “adopt” a plastic duck, we chuck it into the Mad River, and then nature takes over. Your noble little duck will bob, weave, and battle its way downstream for about 100 yards, all in the name of glory.
Event Day: Sunday, August 31st — races start at 3 PM sharp. Join us at Lareau Park (6051 VT Rte 100, Waitsfield), across from Lareau Farm/Flatbread Pizza. Free Activities: Bring the kids to help collect ducks, play lawn games, see a magic show, enjoy good food, and soak up small-town fun. Kid activities start at 2pm.
And yes, 100% of the funds raised from both go straight to the MRV Rotary Club charitable fund, helping make awesome things happen right here in the Valley.
