Vermont Chamber Business Agenda Legislative Preview

Get a Head Start on the 2026 Legislative Session

The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the Vermont Chamber of Commerce Business Agenda Legislative Preview — a chance for MRV business leaders to gain early insights into what’s on the table for the 2026 Vermont legislative session and to share the priorities that matter most to our community. The meeting will take place a the MRV Chamber Welcome Center along with a remote option.

This engaging, in-person event brings the Vermont Chamber’s Government Affairs team to the Valley for a conversation about the policies shaping the future of Vermont’s business climate — from workforce and housing to taxation, healthcare, and beyond.

What to Expect

The Vermont Chamber Advocacy Team will deliver a dynamic, informative presentation covering:

  • The 2026 Business Agenda — key priorities and policy initiatives
  • Legislative opportunities and pressures likely to affect Vermont businesses
    How local chambers and their members can influence and engage in state-level advocacy
  • After the presentation, attendees will take part in a Q&A and discussion session, giving our members the opportunity to:

Ask questions directly to the Vermont Chamber team
Share the Mad River Valley’s regional priorities and concerns
Help shape the statewide business agenda for 2026

Each participating chamber receives **comprehensive handouts and follow-up resources**, including communication tools to share the agenda with members and local legislators.

Meet the Presenters

  • Megan Sullivan –  Vice President of Government Affairs
    Megan leads the Vermont Chamber’s advocacy team, guiding statewide engagement on economic development, housing, land use, employment law, healthcare, and federal policy.
  • Amy Spear – President
    Amy brings years of leadership and strategic experience with the Vermont Chamber. She’s an expert in taxation, fiscal policy, workforce development, hospitality, and public safety — and a strong advocate for Vermont’s business community.
  • Jeremy Little – Policy & Outreach Associate
    Jeremy focuses on manufacturing policy, transportation, environment and energy, and healthcare. A Fulbright alum, he also coordinates the Chamber’s legislative internship program and supports outreach across sectors.
