And since humans could first utter words\, word has been a means of both connecting with and understanding our natural world. Join us for an evening of poetry & plants at ShareMRV’s garden as we share poems that speak of the natural world\, and take inspiration from the garden to write some of our own. \nValley Reporter journalist and incredible local writer Erika Nichols-Frazer (whose recent memoir\, Feed Me\, was released in December 2022\, with an upcoming collection of poetry to be published in August)\, as well as garden manager Marissa Alfiero\, will be sharing relevant poems and leading us through prompts to spark creativity. We’ll tour through the garden\, and see how the bright growth of its inhabitants\, plant— insect\, and soil alike—inspire us. \nPlease bring a chair or a blanket to sit on if you’d like\, water\, writing utensils\, and your favorite notebook.
