Kind Bud\, “One voice\, one guitar\, creating one community everywhere he goes.” During performances\, Bud “dubs” his acoustic guitar by recording live loops\, then he plays them back seamlessly\, to solo over. A one-man duo\, Kind Bud delivers a full show\, whether you dance to his music\, watch the mastery of his live guitar dubs\, or sing along with his soft-strong voice\, sweet and true. \nKind Bud is a guitarist and singer/songwriter from Vermont\, performing over 1\,000 shows across the United States. Throughout his career\, Bud has shared the stage with Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company/Allman Brothers) David Gans\, Michael Falzarano and other members of the New Riders of the Purple Sage and for 12 years\, with his twin brother “Budd”\,as The Kind Buds. \nBud has performed at music festivals such as the Gathering of the Vibes and the Oregon Country Fair and at venues that include Sweetwater\, Fairfield Theatre Company\, and Mexicali Live. During the Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well Shows\, The Kind Buds performed 3 pre-shows at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. As a soloist\, Kind Bud is the poolside musician for Island Gigs\, a music destination resort in Jamaica and during the winter\, one might find Bud playing an apres ski event at Sugarbush\, Stowe\, Killington\, Jay Peak; Whaleback; Okeemo; Bromley Mountain. \nKind Bud currently has 2 albums available for listening.  “Peace\, Love & Music”\, recorded live June 21\, 2019 at the Stonehenge Music Festival and  “Jenuine Kind Bud” ~ songs to uplift humanity inspired by the poetry of Jen Ward. DESCRIPTION:Mad River Valley Arts in Waitsfield\, VT is excited to present ‘The Mad Contemporary’ a cartoon and comics exhibition this August 2- September 14. \nThe opening reception is on August 3\, from 5-7pm. There will be an artist talk on August 3rd at 5:30pm. \nMRVArts has invited over a dozen creators of varying ages to share this hybrid art form of pictorial narrative from their own point of view and visual language. Feelings\, ideas and personal myth unfold in dramatic sequencing or single captions of imagery with text. Each of their pictorial approaches of character\, action\, symbol and commentary create story for the purposes of human connection\, reflection and social understanding. Come join us and see how this powerful medium of communication draws upon contemporary life today. \nThe gallery is free to all and open Tuesday- Saturday from 1-5 pm.
