DESCRIPTION:Paintings by Suzy Spence and Nikko Sedgwick\, sculptures by Carl D’Alvia\nPlease join us June 21\, 5-8 for our opening reception of Now You See Me!\nHours: Fri\, Sat\, Sun 12-5\, June 22-Oct 13. \nStrength\, beauty\, vulnerability\, hope…we find ourselves when we are in the presence of figurative art. Now You See Me casts its characters in every aspect of the human experience\, from the expectation of birth to mourning. \nSuzy Spence delves into the intricacies of athleticism\, risk-taking\, and the interplay between nature\, strength and fragility. Nikko Sedgwick\, a mixed media painter\, uses family snapshots to tell a more hidden story. Carl D’Alvia’s bronze sculptures finds abstract questions in familiar shapes. Now You See Me asks us to discover the space between what is seen and what may be forever hidden from view. \nThese mature artists use figuration to create a sensory content that connects them to each other and to the viewer within the expansive space of the Bundy Modern Gallery \nThe Bundy Modern\, a 1962 International Style\, architectural gem in the woods\, is located at 361 Bundy Rd\, Waitsfield\, just 2 miles south of town off Route 100. The building is spectacular in true modern style with all structural elements visible:  walls of glass\, brick parapets\, massive wooden beams and Vermont slate floors.  \n12 original modern sculptures from the 1960s have been returned to the Bundy after 25 years. Come enjoy the grounds and soak in the beauty of this work.

SUMMARY:Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The 12th annual Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition has works from 85 artists from all over the country including paintings from the Whiskey Painters of America. The exhibition has received past recognition in the international magazine The Art of Watercolour and has developed the reputation of presenting the most contemporary styles of watercolor. Richard Russell Sneary AWS\, NWS\, nationally recognized watercolor artist\, returns to serve as judge of awards. \nThe show is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-9pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12-9 pm through July 20th.

DESCRIPTION:Bread & Puppet kicks off its 2024 Summer Season with a new performance\, The Whole Kit and Caboodle Show\, created by Peter Schumann and company along with a cohort of spring apprentices. The Whole Kit and Caboodle Show runs Sundays June 9th-July 7th at 3 p.m. in the Papier Maché Cathedral at the Bread and Puppet farm\, 753 Heights Rd\, Glover\, VT. \nAbout this show Peter Schumann says\, “We\, the Whole Kit & Caboodle bread bakers\, peace and harmony terrorists and criminal trespassers of the fascist empire offer anti-hospital-bombing calisthenics in the face of the Freedom and Democracy Bullshitters\, and precise funeral rites for the collapsing Western Civilization and make our divine paper maché weaponry\, as retrieved from the cardboard industry’s available refuse to defeat the capitalist hegemony and celebrate a brand-new humanity with appropriate victory dances and demonstrate our birthright as children of the one and only Mother Dirt\, who makes us and unmakes us and now requires our full undivided attention.” \nBread and Puppet’s Cheap Art – books\, posters\, postcards\, pamphlets and banners from the Bread and Puppet Press – will be for sale in the Bread & Puppet Museum Store throughout the event. \nTickets for this and other summer shows are $10 each. DESCRIPTION:Nimble Arts from Brattleboro\, Vt come June 22! Mad River Valley Arts presents Nimble Arts; an award winning circus company to Waitsfield Village. Aerialists will perform 6 acts between 3 pm and 6 pm\, each act approx. 5 – 7 minutes in duration 3:30 pm\, 4 pm\, 4:30 pm\, 5 pm\, 5:30 pm\, 6 pm. Bring your friends and family and watch them entertain you while in the air. This show is in conjunction with our gallery exhibition called ‘ALOFT’ that opens artistic perspectives on that which is aerial\, unearthed and ethereal. Join us with a creemee from The Canteen Creamery or share the views over a cocktail at Emily’s Bar & Bistro. See you there!
