SUMMARY:Bread and Puppet presents: Our Domestic Resurrection Revolution in Progress Circus
DESCRIPTION:Sundays\, July 13-August 31 at 3pm \nThe company presents Our Domestic Revolution in Progress\, a brand new show in the tradition of the iconic Bread & Puppet Circuses that began at Goddard College in Plainfield\, Vermont in 1970.  As usual\, the show will draw on traditional circus tropes and familiar Bread and Puppet iconography to draw attention to the urgent issues of the day. Stilt dancers\, paper maché beasts of all sizes and a riotous brass band make a raucous\, colorful spectacle of protest and celebration. \nAfter the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli\, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books\, posters\, postcards\, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale prior and after the show. \nTickets: $15\, no one turned away for lack of funds.\nhttps://breadandpuppet.org/on-the-farm \nDogs are discouraged\, though well behaved dogs on leash are allowed. If you bring your dog\, PLEASE SIT IN THE BACK of the audience\, at the top of the amphitheater\, as far away as possible from the brass band and bring plenty of water (there is none onsite). Dogs are not able to attend our indoor performances.

DESCRIPTION:Ensemble storytelling and physical theater campers create an original play – inspired by African Folk Tales – brought to you by our youth ensemble ages 9 & up. This fun show is the culminating project of their one-week intensive\, led by professional directors & designers including director Alexa Kartschoke! Run time is approximately 30 minutes. It’s fun for Everyone (all ages). \nOur Great Thanks to Jordan Mensah & Samuel Maama Marquaye of Shidaa Projects Inc for being our cultural/educational consultants AND for creating the West African Drum Music & Dancing that is Part of Our Production!\nCovid Safety Protocols: Masks are strongly encouraged. (LNT’s State of the Art Bio-Defense Air Purification “Synexis” System is also in service 24/7 keeping everyone as safe as possible.) \nCOST: $5- $10. Center reserved guarantee seats available for additional fee. \nThe Flood made LNT/City Hall’s elevator inoperable\, requiring climbing stairs to attend in person. DESCRIPTION:Join us in the Paper Maché Cathedral for a brand new\, urgently-needed puppet show. Keeping the work up-to-the-minute\, the show will evolve over the course of the summer. \nIn Peter Schumann’s words:”We human beasts\, descendants of revenge and elimination gods\, and of the gods of love who preach by killing love\, how can we survive while our very own evil empire promotes incinerations and starvation warfare and supreme inhumanity is performed in front of our eyes? We\, the numerous people here on the face of the earth\, we occupants of not knowing where else to be\, living in the jungle of beastly minutes\, need Mother Dirt to rebirth our joy muscles\, strip us of our horror inhumanity\, and make water and bread of life obligatory.” \nEvery Friday at 7pm July through August \nTickets: $15\, no one turned away for lack of funds. \n*Capacity is limited at our indoor shows*\nhttps://breadandpuppet.org/on-the-farm \nDogs are not permitted at our indoor performances.
