DESCRIPTION:For the second straight year we’re partnering with the Vermont Association of the Deaf to bring you Deaf Glow IPA. Come spend the afternoon with us as we kick off at 4:00pm with a free American Sign Language class. Absolutely all skill levels welcome. Afterward\, we are privileged to be the September host site for Deaf Night Out. \nDeaf Glow IPA is brimming with dank and juicy flavors from a healthy dose of Galaxy\, Simcoe\, and Mosaic hops\, and comes in at 7.2% ABV. This beer falls under our Good Brews for a Cause umbrella\, with proceeds benefitting the Vermont Association of the Deaf and their support of the Yolande Henry Community Foundation. Deaf Glow IPA will be available all day on draft at the taproom\, as well as in cans to-go from our retail space. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Formed after a serendipitous jam session at a Vermont bluegrass festival\, Bloodroot Gap is a musical collaboration between brothers Rob and Jim McCuen (Swing Noire)\, Freeman Corey (Catamount Crossing\, Big Spike Bluegrass) and Jake Munson. \nCorey\, a fiddle player who grew up on a dairy farm in Benson\, is the son of a fine\, old-time fiddler. He started playing at age 10\, learning hundreds of Irish\, Scottish and French-Canadian fiddle tunes from his father. Corey has become one of Vermont’s most sought-after traditional fiddlers\, gracing the stage with Bob Amos and Catamount Crossing\, Big Spike Bluegrass\, The Haymakers and Spare Parts among countless other notable groups and musicians. \nThe McCuen Brothers have been performing side-by-side for nearly 30 years\, founding the bands Wiley Dobbs\, Acoustic Undermind\, and Swing Noire\, and sharing the stage with the likes of Frank Vignola\, Jamie Masefield\, Charlie Hunter and Doug Perkins. The brothers provide tight vocal harmonies and rhythmic accompaniment\, as only twins can. With over 300 shows behind them\, the group communication and groove is transcendent\, bordering on ‘one mind’. \n\n\n\n\nCFI’s choice of – and approach to – material is unique. Believing that playing sets that cross genres is not only refreshing and unexpected for an audience\, the band remains fresh on each gig; CFI is dedicated to exploring the common languages of Funk\, Soul\, Jazz\, Blues\, Country\, Reggae and Rock – in real time. It’s all CFI – and it’s all Groovy. \nAs a quartet\, CFI is: George Petit on guitars and vocals\, John Rivers on electric bass\, Geza Carr on drumset and Mike Hartigan on keyboards…upon occasion\, when the party permits\, we expand to an nonet\, adding up to a full five-piece horn section that includes Jake Whitesell (tenor)\, Rob DeBruyn (tenor)\, Avery Cooper (alto/bari)\, Conor Young (tpt/flug) and Nate Reit (t’bone).
