We are delighted to announce that the audience singalong of familiar carols and the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah will return after a three-year hiatus.\nOur community chorus has received very positive responses from our audiences and music reviews. Conductor/musical director Mary Jane Austin and collaborative accompanist Alison Cerutti\, along with vocal coach and operatic bass Erik Kroncke\, prepare\, support\, and and perform with our group of central Vermont singers.

DESCRIPTION:Famed & beloved Yankee storyteller Willem Lange is back- Live and On Stage (and livestreamed) at Lost Nation Theater performing his reading of “A Christmas Carol: a ghost story” by Charles Dickens. Lange uses the cutting of the novel Dickens himself used when performing the tale. \nEmmy-winner Lange’s tradition of reading Dickens’ Christmas Carol began in 1975. He always performs to benefit “The Haven” in the Upper Valley. In addition to Lange donating his fee to The Haven\, LNT will donate a percentage of its proceeds to Just Basics Food Pantry and Good Samaritan. \nThe performance runs approximately 70 minutes without an intermission. \nCovid Safety Protocols: Masks are strongly encouraged. When I spoke to the professor about my failure\, he told me I knew the\nmaterial\, the facts\, but had no Big Idea. This was a huge lesson then and has\nremained so ever since. \nConcept\, line and space drive the inquiry in my creative practice\, both as an architect\nand as an artist. In my work\, both line and space are constructed to serve an imagined — even\nirrational — beginning (The Big Idea). A conceptual narrative takes shape\, a backstory\nmight develop\, a fantasy or a metaphor might direct the path of the project. As I\nproceed in my design process a kind of acceptance of a new reality starts to inform\nme and a dialogue of choices and decisions take off.
