In his presentation\, Misha Golfman\, the Executive Director of Mad River Path will talk about how reimagining the roadways contributes to social transformation\, builds community\, and improves well-being. Misha will share the details of the VT-100 corridor study\, now in the works\, and draw on examples of other successful corridors from the Burlington Bike Path to the Copenhagen bike trail system.

We’ll gather in the Common House of LTA’s co-housing village for this cozy event! \nUnity began in 2020\, when Raphael met Rebecca while playing a kirtan with a mutual friend. As their friendship and partnership grew\, so did the repertoire found on this album. With ten songs offered as a healing balm for the world\, Unity is Raphael and Rebecca’s prayer for this time. \nReturning to Imaginary Road Studios to work with Will Ackerman and Tom Eaton\, Raphael brought Rebecca and captured an album of heart-opening\, soul-soothing music. Unity features Raphael’s nylon string guitar and flutes accompanied by Rebecca’s angelic violin. Rebecca’s violin shines\, enriched at times with multiple layers creating an orchestral quality listeners have yet to hear in Raphael’s music. The additional highlights of Eugene Friesen on cello\, Michael Manring on fretless bass and Will Ackerman’s timeless guitar weave seamlessly with the meditative and visionary qualities of this recording.

This ambitious project has the potential to conserve landscapes\, connect communities\, build economies\, and create an incredible recreational resource. This is the Velomont. The Velomont invites people on bikes\, skis\, and foot to one day explore 485 miles of trail which will connect 30-45 backcountry huts & downtown hostels and 27 communities\, potentially conserving over 200\,000 acres of crucial wildlife corridor. When complete\, the Velomont will represent the largest hut-supported trail network in the United\nStates – and the public can already enjoy select huts connected by new trail segments.

DESCRIPTION:ELEMENTAL is a group art show that speaks to the subject of water and its soulful impact in our daily lives. The global water cycle has a significant grasp on the hold of human lives and all other species with rhythms that pass through soils\, vegetation and rocks before its destination into the atmospheres. Waterways from raindrop to stream-flow transport carbon and nutrients much like the human circulatory system in order to sustain life on this planet. It goes without saying we are vulnerable to the forces of water in complex ways. While water can destroy our built environment if climate ‘changes’ reach peak levels\, water can also be one of our elixir’s in life\, offering wisdom and endless inspiration. Artists\nin Elemental share the ethereal beauty of water and ask us to reflect upon our deep connection to this element of nature. Unusual materials and whimsical forms in their varying creative practices force the viewer to contemplate colors\, textures\, and emotions of imaginal waterscapes\, and to evoke the connection between them through the balance between harmony and disharmonies\, structure and chaos and the dance between light and shadow.

DESCRIPTION:This play tells the story of MRV Union soldiers\, through their correspondence with loved ones \, of what happened during their nine month stay in Virginia from 1862-63. As they were looking forward to returning home in June\, they were instead ordered to march North and found themselves engaged in an extraordinary battle. This story is a testament to the13th regiment who helped turn the tide of the war. The Songbird Project will provide musical accompaniment\, with original and favorite Civil War era tunes.
