SUMMARY:Making Home Ownership Work for Folks with Modest Incomes with Sandra Vitzhum\, Plainfield Village Expansion Project (Yestermorrow Fall Speaker Series)
DESCRIPTION:Vermont and other states have established robust rental housing and shared equity programs\, yet seniors\, starters\, and many lower-income families want to own their own home. Home ownership can be stable and a great way to build equity. We will discuss the small lot-small home movement\, which fits in well with pre-fabricated homes and also do-it-yourself construction. \nThis talk is presented as part of our Fall 2025 Speaker Series. All talks are free and open to the public\, and take place Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 pm. No registration required\, just drop by. \nTwice a year\, we curate a series of lectures on a design/build theme. This Fall we are tackling part two of our “Innovative Homes” series\, this time focusing in on multi-family homes. We’ll discuss different ways cities and towns are approaching sustainable housing development and affordability through case studies of unique living spaces.

DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Harwood Union High School Volleyball Team. 5:30 -8:30 pm on Friday\, November 14th. \nWe are excited to host a second annual fun night out for kids! All funds raised will support the purchase of equipment and supplies for the Harwood Girls Volleyball Team\, comprised of 24 athletes slaying it on the volleyball court this Fall! The evening takes place in the Harwood gym\, kids can be dropped off at the Harwood main entrance. Cost is $30 per child ($20 for each additional sibling) and includes volleyball lessons and games\, arts and crafts\, snacks and a pizza dinner. \nEvery child who attend Kids’ Night Out will be entered into a drawing to receive a $50 gift card to The Collection. We are so grateful to The Collection for this wonderful donation. \n(Please note: There is also a CBMS and HUMS dance that night too!)
