DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of the Mad River for a unique outdoor experience where you can enjoy cross-country skiing (or snowshoeing) alongside a knowledgeable naturalist! This family-friendly event combines the thrill of skiing with the opportunity to learn about the surrounding nature and wildlife. \nOur naturalist will guide you through the trails\, pointing out interesting flora and fauna along the way. It’s a great way to stay active\, connect with nature\, and learn about your surroundings. \nWhether you’re a seasoned skier or a beginner\, this event is suitable for all skill levels. We’ll offer an hour of equipment fitting and lessons at 9 am for those new to skiing before the main event starts at 10 am. We’ll also have a StorySki experience for the young at heart. \nTickets covering the entrance fee to Blueberry Lake and ski rentals ($30) are free for the first 15 people thanks to the MRV Recreation District\, so register early to guarantee your spot https://fmrski.eventbrite.com/
