DESCRIPTION:The Mad River Valley Backcountry Coalition (MRVBC) is stoked to partner with the Winter Wildlands Alliance (WWA) to provide a screening of the Backcountry Film Fest (BCFF) at the Big Picture theater in Waitsfield\, VT on December 7\, 2024. The WWA is a national nonprofit organization working to inspire and empower people to protect America’s wild snowscapes. The Backcountry Film Festival\, in turn\, celebrates the power and spirit of humans in winter through a thoughtful and exciting suite of short films. This year marks the 20’th annual season for the festival and the 5’th here in the Mad River Valley. \nYES – you read that right! At the Big Pic! They have been generous enough to re-open their doors for one last hurray of 2024 – we are honored to have this event at such an iconic place. A treasured place in our community for so many years! DESCRIPTION:Description: \nSkiers and riders will meet at either Sugarbush or Mad River Glen each week. The event leader will communicate the details each week via email/text to all who opt in to the group.  Feel free to email info@mrvbc.org for more info.  Uphill passes required at Sugarbush and you must be a member of MRVBC. All participants must read and adhere to the uphill policies: Sugarbush and Mad River Glen.  All participants will be required to complete a waiver through MRVBC for each event.  Bring beverage of choice\, snacks\, and layers. See our Difficulty Rating System (https://www.mrvbc.org/events/tours) to determine if MRVBC’s tours are the right fit for you.  Or contact us info@mrvbc.org – we are happy to help with any and all questions.  This will be an intermediate uphill pace\, not a race!  The downhill could be advanced terrain depending on conditions and route.  Come prepared with knowledge of your own gear as this is not instruction\, but it is a great way to meet people\, get some amazing exercise and fresh air views\, and swap BC stories!  \nParticipation Limit: none \nLeaders: Keith Berkelhamer\, Julie Frost and Jacki Strenio \nSchedule – Weekly from early December to early May.
