And since humans could first utter words\, word has been a means of both connecting with and understanding our natural world. Join us for an evening of poetry & plants at ShareMRV’s garden as we share poems that speak of the natural world\, and take inspiration from the garden to write some of our own. \nValley Reporter journalist and incredible local writer Erika Nichols-Frazer (whose recent memoir\, Feed Me\, was released in December 2022\, with an upcoming collection of poetry to be published in August)\, as well as garden manager Marissa Alfiero\, will be sharing relevant poems and leading us through prompts to spark creativity. We’ll tour through the garden\, and see how the bright growth of its inhabitants\, plant— insect\, and soil alike—inspire us. \nPlease bring a chair or a blanket to sit on if you’d like\, water\, writing utensils\, and your favorite notebook. Light refreshments will be provided. DESCRIPTION:The Boyce Hill Steering Committee will be presenting the draft management plan for Boyce Hill at 6:00 PM on Thursday\, June 29th at the Fayston Town Hall. In-person participation is strongly encouraged\, but those unable to attend in person may attend via zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82786667828?pwd=aEc5NEZwQ0MxYU9JenpYRm1WdWo2Zz09 . \nThe result of nearly three years of effort\, the plan reflects strategies that preserve the property’s amazing views and those that support its ecological and recreational benefits. Participants are encouraged to review the draft plan prior to attending the presentation. It can be accessed on the Fayston Conservation commission website\, https://faystonvt.com/departments-documents/conservation-commission/. Others are encouraged to submit comments in writing via email to faystonconservation@madriver.com. Public comments will be accepted until noon on Monday July 10. Following the comment period\, the plan will be updated and finalized for approval by the Selectboard later this summer.

DESCRIPTION:Unanimously voted the #1 Fourth of July Parade by everyone on the planet\, the Warren Parade offers an ever-evolving\, engaging and (often/sometimes) humorous take on our independence. You’ll want to be in Warren Village before 10 AM on the 4th to grab a spot along the route\, but don’t wait until Tuesday to enjoy the festivities. We’ve got an entire weekend of fun for you with four days of live music\, lift rides\, swimming holes\, parties\, fireworks\, and even a snow gun waterfall. (You’ll have to come up to Lincoln Peak so see what that is.) Checkout the schedule below. \nParade Shuttle Bus Schedule: School buses will begin running from Lincoln Peak to Warren Village at 8am. Lincoln Peak pick up is at the bus stops in front of Clay Brook Hotel. Take the earlier buses as it gets more crowded as the clock nears 10am (parade kick off). The bus stop in Warren Village is at the top of Covered Bridge Road. Buses will run throughout the day between Lincoln Peak and Warren Village with the final return trip to Lincoln Peak at 4pm. Sorry\, no dogs\, except service dogs\, allowed on the buses. \nJoin PAWSitive Pantry at their annual 4th of July Pet Parade and show off your pet in their best costume.
