They have performed with the DC Fringe Festival\, Zip Zap Circus and regularly at Clown Cabaret. In 2014\, the duo traveled to Haiti to volunteer with Clowns Without Borders and performed for over 5000 children. Kolleen later became a hospital clown for Healthy Humor and made rounds as Dr. Pickle at Johns Hopkins for 6 years.\n\nKolleen & Bobby Kintz have been teaching artists since 2013. Beginning their journey with the instruction of 3 & 4 year olds\, in Del Ray\, VA. SUMMARY:EDGEWATER GALLERY PLEIN AIR 2023
DESCRIPTION:2023 PLEIN AIR WORKSHOP AND FESTIVAL \nLIGHT\, COLOR AND COMPOSITION\nA three day workshop with\nTracy Everly \nAcclaimed plein air painter and teacher\, Tracy Everly will open the event by offering a workshop taking place on the three days leading up to the plein air event. Painters of all levels will benefit from this fun and informative class. \nWorkshop Description:\nThis workshop offers a guided learning opportunity to immerse yourself in a multi-day experience painting outdoors with Tracy. We will paint together in and around picturesque Warren\, Vermont. \nWe’ll focus on simplifying the majesty of nature through composition\, value control\, and color. Topics will include choosing a painting site\, exploring compositions\, using value to create structure\, and creating color harmony\, among others. We will also discuss equally-important aspects of painting such as active looking\, focus\, mindset\, and expectations. \nOur days will include:\n-Live painting demos\n-Discussion\n-Ample time to paint\n-Individual guidance and feedback\n-Connection with like-minded artists \nEvery day spent painting outside is an opportunity to enjoy the moment and grow as a painter. \nGET TO KNOW TRACY EVERLY!\nArtist Tracy Everly (b. Philadelphia 1968) uses oil paint to explore the fleeting experience of being human. She observes and paints and distills different moments into a simplified form that is ultimately meant to capture the remains or accumulation of an experience as it slips away. \nEverly’s skill as a painter was developed through study with individual artists and through classes at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. She has won numerous awards for her work including an Award of Distinction from the American Impressionist Society\, and two Bucks County Resident Artist Awards from the Bucks County Plein Air Festival. Her work has been included in both regional and national exhibitions. \nEverly teaches online and also teaches in-person workshops across the U.S. She has been represented by Edgewater Gallery since 2022. \nThis workshop is suitable for all levels of experience\, though some plein air experience is helpful.

SUMMARY:Tri-Town Community Knotweed Education Program
DESCRIPTION:Brian Colleran\, an invasive species ecologist who studied the spread of Japanese Knotweed in Vermont following Hurricane Irene\, will be the featured speaker at a June 20th Tri-Town Community Knotweed Education Program. It will be held at the Lareau Swimming Hole in Waitsfield from 5 to 6 pm. Residents and visitors to the Mad River Valley are invited. Brian will explore how Knotweed spreads\, the impact it has on local ecosystems and water quality\, and the benefits of various management strategies. Leaders from the Valley’s three Conservation Commissions will talk about the comprehensive Knotweed control program they’ve developed and showcase the various control strategies being employed at Lareau. Attendees will also get a chance to practice some of these strategies and learn how they can get involved.

SUMMARY:Tuesday Tunes: Night Protocol
DESCRIPTION:Night Protocol was formed in Burlington\, Vermont\, and has actively been performing and writing music since 2017. Night Protocol was created to unite the sounds of the past\, present\, and future with a cutting-edge style of electronic music. \nFueled by synthesizers and a devotion to the sounds of the 1980’s\, Night Protocol performs their own blend of electronic music as a live band. \nNight Protocol shows are driven by live analog synthesizers\, pulsing basslines\, ripping guitar solos\, soaring saxophone leads\, and harmonized vocals. Their live show takes a theatrical approach to music performance with coordinated visuals\, lighting effects\, and a contagious sense of passion and energy for the foundations of electronic music.
