The Whole Kit and Caboodle Show runs Sundays June 9th-July 7th at 3 p.m. in the Papier Maché Cathedral at the Bread and Puppet farm\, 753 Heights Rd\, Glover\, VT. \nAbout this show Peter Schumann says\, “We\, the Whole Kit & Caboodle bread bakers\, peace and harmony terrorists and criminal trespassers of the fascist empire offer anti-hospital-bombing calisthenics in the face of the Freedom and Democracy Bullshitters\, and precise funeral rites for the collapsing Western Civilization and make our divine paper maché weaponry\, as retrieved from the cardboard industry’s available refuse to defeat the capitalist hegemony and celebrate a brand-new humanity with appropriate victory dances and demonstrate our birthright as children of the one and only Mother Dirt\, who makes us and unmakes us and now requires our full undivided attention.” \nBread and Puppet’s Cheap Art – books\, posters\, postcards\, pamphlets and banners from the Bread and Puppet Press – will be for sale in the Bread & Puppet Museum Store throughout the event. \nTickets for this and other summer shows are $10 each. A versatile musician performing a mix of originals and covers\, Madigan plays acoustic guitar\, ukulele and piano but is best known for her velvety\, tender vocal style and original songwriting. Madigan took first place in Padavano’s Place 2018 Singer-Songwriter contest by performing 3 original songs including her Christmas song\, Snow Falls. Victor Infante of the Worcester Telegram wrote that she “…has a way of focusing on the joy her persona finds in other people’s delight\, a perspective that skirts the consumerism of the season.”

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a book reading and discussion of “Our Better Nature” by Curt Lindberg and Eric Hagan as part of the Tri-Town Conservation Commission Biodiversity Series and the Climate and Ecology Book Club. Grounded in experience and science\, Our Better Nature presents readers with stories\, essays\, and resources to guide and inspire action in favor of nature everywhere. SUMMARY:MRV Arts Summer Garden Tour\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Mad River Valley Arts Garden Tour will take place on Saturday\, July 13 from 10AM to 4PM featuring six private home gardens\, two regenerative farms\, a school garden with rain and pollinator gardens and a sculpture garden. The tour is sponsored by Lareau Farm and Forest\, the Pitcher Inn and Warren Store\, Broadleaf Landscape Architecture\, Broscapes\, LLC and Appalachian Landscaping. There will be painters and photographers in the gardens\, a willow basket making demo\, and the opportunity to design your own fresh bouquets provided by Diddle & Zen. \nThis year’s Pre-Tour Social will be held at a beautiful farm with a stunning view on Friday\, July 12 from 5:30 to 7PM. The event hosts are generously donating hors d’oeuvres from Adam Longworth’s Kitchen-ette along with festive cocktails. There will be a small silent auction offering high quality items and proceeds will benefit youth participating in MRVArts’ summer art camps. \nTickets may be bought online at madrivervalleyarts.org/gardentourandpre-toursocialparty (http://madrivervalleyarts.org/gardentourandpre-toursocialparty) or purchased the day of the event at the Gallery at 5031 Main St in Waitsfield or in front of the Farmhouse Day Spa in Warren Village.\nTickets are priced at one tour for $30 or two for $50\, $55 for the Pre-Tour Social and $80 for the Pre-Tour Social and Garden Tour. SUMMARY:Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The 12th annual Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition has works from 85 artists from all over the country including paintings from the Whiskey Painters of America. The exhibition has received past recognition in the international magazine The Art of Watercolour and has developed the reputation of presenting the most contemporary styles of watercolor. Richard Russell Sneary AWS\, NWS\, nationally recognized watercolor artist\, returns to serve as judge of awards. \nThe show is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-9pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12-9 pm through July 20th.
