DESCRIPTION:This play tells the story of MRV Union soldiers\, through their correspondence with loved ones \, of what happened during their nine month stay in Virginia from 1862-63. As they were looking forward to returning home in June\, they were instead ordered to march North and found themselves engaged in an extraordinary battle. This story is a testament to the13th regiment who helped turn the tide of the war. The Songbird Project will provide musical accompaniment\, with original and favorite Civil War era tunes.

Afroman’s best-known song is the 2001 hit “Because I Got High”\, which gained popularity through Napster\, local radio play\, a feature on Howard Stern’s radio show\, and the ‘stoner’ movie ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ (and accompanying soundtrack). The BC Primer will be an all-day workshop held at the Mad River Glen @ the Cricket Club and on the mountain on Sunday\, November 10th. The course topics will help those who are newer to backcountry skiing/riding feel more comfortable going out into the deep woods of our region in search of untracked snow. More experienced skiers/riders will gain useful insights\, information\, tools\, and techniques for exploring mountains further afield. And all will certainly enjoy meeting and connecting with other BC enthusiasts in our community!
