DESCRIPTION:Sammy Blanchette\, aka Sammy B\, is a New England based singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist who’s career spans nearly two decades. His performance career began primarily out of Southern Connecticut and has since found a primary home in Southern Vermont in the Okemo Valley as of 2018. Like most start up musicians\, Sammy began playing out in bars and nightclubs at age 13 as well as sitting in with multiple Southern CT bands\, including Hubinger St. which he became the full time bass player from 2010 to 2018. His style of work on electric and acoustic guitar ranges from a broad mix of rock\, jazz\, reggae\, blues and jam band styles.

DESCRIPTION:Description: \nSkiers and riders will meet at either Sugarbush or Mad River Glen each week. The event leader will communicate the details each week via email/text to all who opt in to the group.  Feel free to email info@mrvbc.org for more info.  Uphill passes required at Sugarbush and you must be a member of MRVBC. All participants must read and adhere to the uphill policies: Sugarbush and Mad River Glen.  All participants will be required to complete a waiver through MRVBC for each event.  Bring beverage of choice\, snacks\, and layers. See our Difficulty Rating System (https://www.mrvbc.org/events/tours) to determine if MRVBC’s tours are the right fit for you.  Or contact us info@mrvbc.org – we are happy to help with any and all questions.  This will be an intermediate uphill pace\, not a race!  The downhill could be advanced terrain depending on conditions and route.  Come prepared with knowledge of your own gear as this is not instruction\, but it is a great way to meet people\, get some amazing exercise and fresh air views\, and swap BC stories!  \nParticipation Limit: none \nLeaders: Keith Berkelhamer\, Julie Frost and Jacki Strenio \nSchedule – Weekly from early December to early May. DESCRIPTION:In a program featuring “Frostiana” by American composer Randall Thompson\, the Onion River Chorus will be presenting their winter concerts on Dec. 21st and 22nd. There will be a reception following the Sunday concert\, with proceeds to benefit the Montpelier Food Pantry. Onion River Chorus is happy to offer special admission pricing for this concert. Suggested admission is $25 or “pay what you can” at the door. Advance tickets are available at sevendaystickets.com for $25 only. As always\, 18 and under are free. \nThe 60-member chorus\, now directed by Richard Riley\, has presented unique programs for 45 years. In this concert\, the chorus presents a typically diverse program with not only “Frostiana”\, which is one of the most frequently-performed choral masterworks of the 20th century\, but also two masterworks from 2010 by the Latvian composer Erik Esenwalds. The concert will also include three settings of the text “Ave Maris Stella” (“Hail\, Star of the Sea”)\, as well as Thompson’s most famous work\, “Alleluia\,” first sung at the Tanglewood Music Festival in 1940.
