Excited to announce our next pop-up will be at the Waitsfield Village Meeting House! The tenor banjo\, fiddles\, mandolin\, guitar and vocals create a sound that is pleasing to listen to\, to dance to or to have playing quietly in the background. While some of the tunes are familiar favorites\, others are simply their favorites\, the tunes that have made a lasting impression on us all.

Major General and Mrs. Wait will be present to give historical orations about early life in Waitsfield and greet all of their guests. There will be photo opportunities. Mrs. Wait and her helpers will have cookies and hot chocolate for the children. Further\, the little ones can color ornaments that they can hang on the Wait’s Christmas tree\, bring or write letters to Santa Claus that will be answered by him. SUMMARY:Bella Voce “Glorious Season” Holiday Concerts
DESCRIPTION:Bella Voce begins the celebration of its 20th anniversary season with a spectacular program that includes a performance of Vivaldi’s venerated classic Gloria and many more holiday favorites! The centerpiece for the Glorious Season holiday concerts is Antonio Vivaldi’s timeless Gloria for women’s voices with trumpet\, oboe\, strings and continuo.  Joining Bella Voce for these performances is the University of Vermont’s String Ensemble.  The String Ensemble will also perform their own selections as will under the direction of Dr. Yutaka Kono.  In addition\, the concert will feature a variety jubilant songs of the season by Robert De Cormier\, Dan Forrest\, Randol Bass and more!

DESCRIPTION:The Mad River Valley Backcountry Coalition (MRVBC) is stoked to partner with the Winter Wildlands Alliance (WWA) to provide a screening of the Backcountry Film Fest (BCFF) at the Big Picture theater in Waitsfield\, VT on December 7\, 2024. The WWA is a national nonprofit organization working to inspire and empower people to protect America’s wild snowscapes. The Backcountry Film Festival\, in turn\, celebrates the power and spirit of humans in winter through a thoughtful and exciting suite of short films. This year marks the 20’th annual season for the festival and the 5’th here in the Mad River Valley. \nYES – you read that right! At the Big Pic! They have been generous enough to re-open their doors for one last hurray of 2024 – we are honored to have this event at such an iconic place. A treasured place in our community for so many years!
