In late 2015\, a fire gutted the historic structure\, raising urgent questions about preservation. Through a remarkable collaborative effort led by the Vermont Forests\, Parks\, and Recreation in partnership with Donald P Blake Jr.\, Inc. and Northern Architects\, the Stone Hut was thoughtfully rebuilt and reopened less than a year later.
