DESCRIPTION:Mad River Valley Arts (Mad Arts) presents Lisa Dimondstein\, Julie Parker and Sandra Shenk in Abstract^2. \nThese three women photographers are dedicated to radicalizing the photo as image. \nThey abstract from a pre-existing abstract sculpture with the aim to capture the essential properties and relationships of the original abstract concept\, and in doing so they remove themselves from any context or specific content or representation. The process involves eliminating any reference to real-world objects or situations and to focus only on the inherent structures and relationships. \nThe Cold Hollow Sculpture Park\, in Enosburg Falls\, has over 70 large abstract sculptures by renowned artist David Stromeyer. The photographs of Lisa\, Julie and Sandra\nare inventive abstractions from David’s sculpture. They utilize an in-camera multiple exposure technique to explore the intricate relationship between color\, texture\, movement\, line and form.

As a mentor to female entrepreneurs\, Kathleen offers invaluable guidance\, drawing from her extensive background in wealth psychology and client communication. Her expertise extends to working with financial advisors\, helping them navigate the complexities of wealth management while fostering stronger client relationships. \nHer signature program\, “Unleash Your True Value™: How to Shift Your Negotiation Mindset\, Boost Your Confidence\, and Close More Sales\,” is the culmination of her expertise\, honed through years of helping women executives\, financial advisors\, and entrepreneurs break free from money silence. \nA graduate of Harvard Law School’s Program On Negotiation\, Kathleen served as an adjunct faculty member at the McCallum Graduate School at Bentley University from 2009 to 2019\, where she taught the Psychology of Financial Planning in the CFP® program. She currently teaches Strategic Negotiations in the Business and Management School at Champlain College. She is certified Co-Active Coach with a Masters Degree in Psychology and Bachelors Degree in Finance. \nThe MRV Women in Business group meets every other month throughout the year. SUMMARY:Apple Tree Pruning Workshop at Boyce Hill
DESCRIPTION:Boyce Hill is a 93-acre tract of land owned by the town of Fayston that is open for the public to enjoy. It is full of trails and beautiful mountain views. It also includes the remnants of an old apple orchard that needs some attention. \nAs this is the best time of year to prune apple trees\, the Boyce Hill Committee has invited local landscape designer\, Rachel Grigorian of Clark Brook Designs to lead a 90-minute pruning class for a group of supporters on Saturday\, February 15th at 1:00 PM. Participants will learn how to care for trees to maximize their fruit production and health while helping the town with this important stewardship project. While we work\, participants can also learn about the property and the long-term management of this unique tract of land that features expansive views of both the Green Mountains and the Northfield Range. At the end of the workshop\, participants will be emailed a PDF summary of the methods learned. \nParticipants should bring any pruning tools they have\, such as loppers\, and small pull saws or folding saws\, as limited loaner tools will be available. Ladders are also needed. \nTo register\, please visit https://forms.gle/D7PxxdX1Zfuib1TD8 or call Harvey Blake at 802-279-4751. A suggested donation of $40 per person will help support the property and its ongoing stewardship needs. \nBoyce Hill is located at the top of Boyce Road in N. DESCRIPTION:Mad River Valley Arts (Mad Arts) presents Lisa Dimondstein\, Julie Parker and Sandra Shenk in Abstract^2. \nThese three women photographers are dedicated to radicalizing the photo as image. \nThey abstract from a pre-existing abstract sculpture with the aim to capture the essential properties and relationships of the original abstract concept\, and in doing so they remove themselves from any context or specific content or representation. The process involves eliminating any reference to real-world objects or situations and to focus only on the inherent structures and relationships. \nThe Cold Hollow Sculpture Park\, in Enosburg Falls\, has over 70 large abstract sculptures by renowned artist David Stromeyer. The photographs of Lisa\, Julie and Sandra\nare inventive abstractions from David’s sculpture. They utilize an in-camera multiple exposure technique to explore the intricate relationship between color\, texture\, movement\, line and form.

DESCRIPTION:Join us\, and our friends\, at Zero Gravity Brewery for an evening at Allyn’s Lodge\, midway up Lincoln Peak\, for an intimate and elegant five-course meal in a rustic atmosphere. Arrive at Allyn’s Lodge via our Cabin Cat* and enjoy a champagne toast followed by a delicious fireside meal paired with beer from Zero Gravity. View the sample menu below. Additional beer and wine will be available for purchase. After dinner\, advanced skiers and riders may bundle up to ski and/or snowboard back to the base area on a freshly groomed trail under the cover of darkness with a guide. DESCRIPTION:Presidents Week Fireworks guided snowshoe tour will go to the top of the Gate House Quad to watch the torchlight parade and fireworks display. This tour will leave the Farmhouse and go to the top of the Gate House Quad.
