Take a walk through the MRV Libraries Bear Art Gallery Display and discover how artists of all ages used a variety of materials to make their 5 x 7 canvas of each bear come alive. Talk with individuals from the MRV Bear Initiative and nosh on some bear-like sugar cookies.

Releasing Your Inner Poet

Local poet and author, Susan Bauchner will provide a variety of methods to help participants open their hearts and minds to writing poetry in a variety of genres. All are welcome. Preregistration is required. Go to the Joslin Memorial Library website and register under upcoming programs.

Playwriting workshop

Playwright, Jeanne Beckwith will share her expertise on what it takes to write a play, whether it’s 10 minutes or 60 minutes in length. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in character development and write short plays during the four week session. No previous experience required.

Friday Night Acoustic Music Series
